OFFICIAL: Kompany is getting to be Anderlecht player-chief in the wake of leaving Man City
Vincent Kompany is rejoining Anderlecht having left Manchester City following 11 years at the club.
Kompany, 33, was uncovered by Anderlecht on their Twitter page with a clasp including the words: 'The Prince is back', and 'he's getting back home'.
In the second piece of a letter to City fans clarifying his flight, he delineated what's to come.
'For the following 3 years, I will take up the job of Player-Manager of RSC Anderlecht. Belgium's best,' he composed.
'This may come as a shock to you. It's the most enthusiastic yet objective choice I've at any point made.
'As a footballer, I was brought up at RSC Anderlecht. Since the age of 6, I have been unified with that club. A past filled with 34 group titles, they are best in class.
"This is no farewell. It's a see you later.
Kompany played his last game for City in the FA Cup last win over Watford on Saturday and the stun declaration was made under 24 hours after the fact.
